Red Scallop Single Side Boy Onesie

At Maison Q, prints are never just that  — they are exciting little worlds waiting to be discovered. For our newest collection, we turned to the stories that surround us: the traditions, symbols and everyday wonders that spark curiosity in both children and grown-ups alike.

Each design is carefully imagined through the Maison Q lens — playful, thoughtful and filled with whimsical details. Every print carries a tale of its own, lovingly brought to life by our team of creatives.

Here are the stories behind our CNY 2026 prints:

The Red Scallop Print

The red scallop print draws inspiration from the seigaiha, a traditional wave-like pattern of stacked circles. The high points in the seigaiha represent the peaks of waves, symbolisng perseverance, resilience, and surges of good fortune. This print holds a special place at Maison Q, as it was the first featured in our inaugural collection launched in 2015.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• A baby boy onesie with a low Mandarin collar and short sleeves. Created in the style of a romper with ‘pants’.
• Features a charming horse that has been intricately embroidered on the top left of the onesie adding a punch of fun to the outfit.
• Snap closure buttons three quarters down the front as well as at the bottom of the onesie for ease of wear and to help facilitate a quick change of diapers. 
• This is a single side apparel and is not reversible. 
• 100% cotton.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Gentle machine wash, on cold.
• Wash with like colours in a laundry bag.
• Do not soak.
• Iron on medium heat. For a reversible apparel, iron on medium and away from the hemline. Iron towards the centre of the apparel so that the two pieces of fabric in your reversible piece does not gather at the hem.
• Do not iron over brand labels or snap closure buttons.
• No clothes dryers.
• When washing, be mindful not to use too much detergent as this, in some cases, may affect the durability and colour of the cotton (a natural fabric) in the long run.
